Parco costiero del Ponente Ligure
Country: Italy
The Parco Costiero Riviera dei Fiori is one of Italy’s most celebrated coastal greenways, created on the former Genoa–Ventimiglia railway line. Stretching approximately 33 km from Ospedaletti to Imperia (with 24 km directly managed by AMAIE Energia e Servizi), the route offers a safe, flat, and traffic-free corridor for cyclists and pedestrians along the Ligurian coast.
Built on a disused railway corridor, the greenway combines spectacular sea views, Mediterranean landscapes, restored railway tunnels, bridges, and former station buildings that have been converted into visitor facilities and refreshment points. The route connects several coastal towns, including Sanremo, Ospedaletti, Arma di Taggia, Riva Ligure, Santo Stefano al Mare, and San Lorenzo al Mare.
The park is designed for all users, including families, older people, and visitors with reduced mobility. Along the route, users can find bicycle rental services, rest areas, sports facilities, green spaces, cafés, and direct access to beaches. The infrastructure supports cycling, walking, jogging, skating, and handcycling, making it a model of inclusive and sustainable mobility.
