East Belgium (Ostbelgien) is a unique region in the east of Belgium, bordering Germany, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Known as “Europe’s vibrant garden,” it combines exceptional natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and outstanding opportunities for hiking, cycling, and nature-based tourism. Offers extensive networks of hiking, cycling, and mountain biking routes through forests, river valleys, meadows, and nature reserves.

East Belgium is internationally recognised for its cycling infrastructure, particularly the Vennbahn Greenway, which follows a former railway corridor through Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg. The region promotes sustainable mobility and slow tourism through well-developed cycling and walking networks.
