Outdoor, tradition, and innovation

OTI Slovakia is a Slovak sports and outdoor organization dedicated to promoting hiking, outdoor activities, youth engagement, sustainability, and non-formal education. The organization seeks to connect people with nature while fostering healthy lifestyles, community building, and European cooperation through international projects.

Primary goal is educating members of the organization and local community in the region of Nitra through sport and non-formal education. OTI is bringing new opportunities to members and empowers them to learn from others and better understand the world through informal, non-formal and formal education, especially those with fewer opportunities. Other goals of OTI are promoting sports such as hiking, mountaineering, cycling, water sports, enabling young people to discover and respect the cultures of Slovak and European countries, promoting cultural heritage and equal opportunities for all and tackling discrimination.

OTI in involved in creating the CykloKorytnička Cycling Route. This 46 km family-friendly themed cycling trail in the Ružomberok region of Slovakia follows the route of the former “Korytko” narrow-gauge railway, which operated between 1908 and 1974 and connected Ružomberok with the famous Korytnica Spa.
