PARTNERSTVÍ, o.p.s

The Partnerství, o.p.s. (Partnership, Public Benefit Organization) is a Czech non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable mobility, cycling tourism, and greenways in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. Based in Brno, it is a sister organization of the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation (Nadace Partnerství) and works closely with public authorities, tourism organizations, and international partners. Its mission is to support environmentally friendly forms of transport and tourism while enhancing quality of life and protecting cultural and natural heritage.

The organization plays a leading role in coordinating the development of long-distance cycling routes, EuroVelo routes, and Greenways in the Czech Republic. It is responsible for route planning, promotion, safety improvements, monitoring visitor numbers, and service quality certification through the national “Cyclists Welcome” (Cyklisté vítáni) scheme. It also manages projects related to cycling infrastructure, tourism data collection, and the development of thematic routes such as wine trails and heritage greenways.

Partnerství, o.p.s. is actively involved in European networks, including the European Cyclists’ Federation and the European Greenways Association, fostering international cooperation and knowledge exchange. Its experts have played a key role in developing renowned routes such as the Prague–Vienna Greenway, the Iron Curtain Trail (EuroVelo 13), and the Elbe Cycle Route. Through conferences, training, and advocacy, the organization contributes to making cycling tourism a driver of sustainable regional development in Czechia and beyond.
