Dansk Cykelturisme – Danish Cycling Tourism
Dansk Cykelturisme (Danish Cycling Tourism) is a non-profit association that brings together public and private partners to develop, promote, and coordinate cycling tourism and recreational cycling throughout Denmark. Founded in 2014, it includes municipalities, tourism destinations, organisations, and businesses from across the country. Since 2016, it has served as the national EuroVelo Coordination Centre for Denmark.
Dansk Cykelturisme is Denmark’s leading organisation for cycling tourism, working to make the country an attractive destination for cycle travellers through route development, partnerships, knowledge sharing, and sustainable tourism initiatives. Its work supports both local communities and visitors while promoting active, environmentally friendly travel.
Denmark is internationally recognised as one of the world’s most bicycle-friendly countries, and Dansk Cykelturisme plays a central role in maintaining and enhancing that reputation. The organisation helps ensure that visitors can experience Denmark through well-connected cycling routes, high-quality services, and accessible tourism infrastructure.
