CIMAC purposes include regional strategic planning, coordination of municipal investments, management of development programs, and support for civil protection and transport to promote economic, social, and environmental development of Alentejo Central region. It acts as a cooperation platform to strengthen municipalities and manage services at a supra-municipal level.
