• 1999-2003: President of the Girona – Sant Feliu de Guíxols Railway Consortium, as a representative of the municipality of Cassà de la Selva. During this period were carried out the works of development of the section between Girona and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, called nowadays Vía Verde del Carrilet (Girona-Sant Feliu). The opening took place in 2000. 
• 1999-2003: Member of the Provincial Parliament of Girona where he participates to the transitory commission which launched the creation of the Consorcio Vies Verdes de Girona 

As Director of the Consortium, my principal project is to develop at the most the use of greenways in Girona, to favour their use by all the population as well as to promote their existence and their advantages out of our frontiers. Another aim is the creation of a network which would give the opportunity to walk or ride through the major part of the Girona Region in total security and with the best access facilities.
