Only 8 days to close the deadline for presenting candidacies

Please, remember that the deadline for the presentation of candidacies for the 4th European Greenways Award (EGA), which is organized by the European Greenways Association (EGWA) and the Ministry of Tourism of the German Community of Belgium, with the support of the DG of Enterprise and Industry of the EU.

Finishes on the 30 th of July 2009,

Instructions, regulations and application forms are available at the 4th EGA website www.europeangreenwaysaward.org

The two categories considered are:

a) a First, a Second and a Third Prize on the category “Sustainable Development and Tourism”

b) a First, a Second and a Third Prize on the category “Mobility”

Also a “Special Prize” can be given by the jury (if it decides to do so) to the candidacy that best combines the spirit of greenways, as defined in the Lille Declaration.

The official award ceremony will take place on the 9th of October 2009 in the “Centre Culturel “TRIANGEL”, at St Vith, in the German Community of Belgium. The building is located in a former train station, part of an important network of greenways between the German Community of Belgium, German Landers and the GD of Luxembourg.
