» Cycling in Central and Eastern Europe

This unique workshop is dedicated to best practices from our region regarding city cycling policies, national cycling strategies, cross border cooperation in developing intl cycle routes, current state of Euro Velo networks in our regions, Greenways in our region as well as critical mass movement. The presentations /see attachment/ will be delivered by major
leaders /national cycle coordinators, Directors of national cycle clubs, cycle network coordinators and leading cycle activists/ in cycling in our region. The Workshop will take place at the CS Business Academy Brno (SPAK), tø.Gen.Píky 7 /see details how to get there in attachment/.

 The Czech Republic and Brno, capital of South Moravia, have been selected as host of ECF congress which will be organized in BRNO by Nadace partnerstvi following this worskhshop between May 15-18, 2008 for the first time. We are expecting around 60 delegates from over 30 countries representing almost 500.000 cyclists in Europe, USA and Australia. For the delegates there is also a bicycle ride prepared on Greenways between Brno and Vienna on May 18-20.

 Also part of the conference is exhibition of city bicycle systems, certification schemes such as Bicyclists welcome, technical and first aid kit for cyclists, intermodality projects, bicycle counting systems etc./see attachment/
